Read-only from the first click

AppXplain signs in with a dedicated read-only account and reads how your platform is built. Your business records are only counted, unless you allow automation discovery.

  • Reads rules, scripts, access rules, flows, integrations, notifications and service levels
  • Business records are counted, not read. Counts under 10 show as “<10”
  • One test shows what the account can read and warns if it can write
  • Several connections per system, each used only for what it can read

What it finds

Code runs the standard checks. The AI reads the process the way a senior architect would. Every finding is scored by severity, effort and when to fix it.

How it works

Expertise built in

Every analysis follows a playbook: a proven method for one process, written by platform experts and applied the same way every time.

  • Standard checks

Run automatically on every analysis. Incident management has 34.
  • Expert questions

The judgement calls an experienced architect would ask, answered with evidence. Incident management has 12.
  • Your own customisations

Custom fields and logic your team added are found, explained and checked against your documents.

Your data stays yours

What AppXplain touches in your platform, what it never touches, and how you stay in control.

Read-only access

It cannot create, change or delete anything in your platform.

How it is built, not what is in it

It reads rules, scripts, flows and settings. Your business data is not read by default.

Records counted by default

Tickets, users and requests are counted, not read. Small counts show as “<10”.

Ticket titles only with your consent

To find automation, it can read titles of tickets closed in the past 12 months, only if your contract allows it. Personal data is removed first; only pattern counts are kept.

Passwords in scripts hidden

Secrets found in your code are masked and never appear in a report.

Your sign-in details protected

The account details you give us are encrypted and never shown to the AI.

Documents read where they live

SharePoint files are read in place, not copied.

You see what was read

Every read is logged, and the report lists what was used.

One address to allow

All connections come from a single IP your firewall can allow.

Switch it off any time

Disable the read-only account and all access stops at once.
